Dermal fillers are used to treat deeper wrinkles. They replace the skin volume which we all lose as part of the natural aging process. The filler is naturally occurring hyaluronic acid that is delivered just below the skin surface and consequently, wrinkles are lifted to make the skin’s appearance smoother. Volume is replaced and contours redefined and as a result, this gives a more youthful look.
Because we see the effect of a dermal filler immediately, we ensure your satisfaction before you leave our treatment room. It may be that you need to have multiple appointments over a period of time to achieve the desired outcome.
We advise you regarding the areas that you should treat with dermal filler and why, during a consultation. Sometimes the area that you need to treat is remote from the lines that you see in the mirror. As we age, the inevitable volume loss in our faces causes creases and folds to appear sometimes elsewhere.
Areas that we can treat with dermal filler includes
- Lips and the area around the mouth, including smokers’ lines
- Tear Trough (under the eyes)
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
- Non Surgical Rhinoplasty (nose job)
A bumpy or uneven nose can be treated with filler and avoid the need for expensive and unpleasant surgery, in just 15 minutes. Dr Davis has been trained by the pioneer of the non surgical nose-job, Dr Ash Labib.
The non surgical nose job lasts around 12 months and although it isn’t permanent it can be maintained with injections over time, If you prefer a permanent solution without the need for review then surgery might be the best option for you.
It is safer than traditional rhinoplasty and there is no significant downtime
There may be swelling and redness
The result will be natural
Topical anaesthetic cream is applied before treatment and the procedure is not painful at all. The result is immediate!
It is a good idea to have a review after 2 weeks to ensure that you are happy and having no problems.
We will as usual take a medical history before hand but regret that we generally don’t treat patients who have had previous surgical rhinoplasty as this can make the procedure too complicated.
